A poem about tree climbing

We know tree climbing is a magical experience, but it’s so lovely to hear other people feel the same way. Thanks to Julie for sending us this beautiful poem about her tree climbing experience.

Tree Climbing
Oh noble ancient, solid Oak,
anchored in your meadow.

How grand you stand and tower above,
me dwarfed in your shadow.

You raise me up,
and draw me in,
as I reach and stretch for the sky.

You rock and sway,
and lift my heart,
as I bounce and swing and fly.

Up and up into the breaking sun.
The world below is gone.
For a moment I’ve left it all behind,
and you and I are one.
