More things to do with teenagers on the Isle of Wight
Obviously a tree climb with us is the BEST thing to do with a teenager on the Isle of Wight, in fact last summer we had this lovely review on Trip Advisor titled Teenager’s loved it.. give it a go!! which we totally agree you should do…
But if we’re booked up or you’re looking for something else, we’ve put together another list of things to do for a day out with teenagers on the Isle of Wight. You can read the first from 2021 list on our blog.
Here’s five outdoor activities and adventures for teens and older kids on the Isle of Wight:
Ride the Waves

Goodleaf’s Paul is not only a tree climber but also a surfer, so we’ve got our own family surf instructor. If you don’t have one in your family, the Island has iSurf, where teenagers and older kids can catch the thrill of surfing in the sparkling waters surrounding the Island. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time surfer, iSurf offers lessons tailored to all skill levels. Feel the rush as you ride the waves and see if you can hang ten! The Island’s coastline is pretty spectacular and always looks so different when you’re out at sea.
Pedal Through Paradise
Gear up for an epic cycling adventure with Wight Cycle Hire. The Island is a brilliant place to cycle. We like it because there are lots of off road paths and you can usually find a spot for tea and cake along the way. Wight Cycle Hire have a wide range of bikes available for hire, including mountain bikes and electric bikes. Whether you’re cruising through quaint villages or tackling rugged terrain, cycling on the Isle of Wight is a super way to discover hidden gems and local secret spots!
Conquer the Trails

One for the cycling adrenaline junkies! Embark on a thrilling mountain biking excursion at the Isle of Wight Mountain Bike Centre. With an range of trails catering to various skill levels, from gentle slopes to challenging descents, riders can test their mettle. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned rider, you’ll find an exhilarating experience for teens and older kids alike.
Sail Away
Just round the corner from us (about 15 minutes in the car) Tackt-Isle Adventures is the perfect place for teenagers and older children to experience watersports on the Isle of Wight. From kayaking and paddleboarding to windsurfing and sailing, there’s no shortage of aquatic activities to enjoy – they even offer SUP yoga (one for those with excellent core strength!). Nestled in Bembridge Harbour, Tackt-Isle Adventures provides the perfect opportunity to get on board (geddit)) with the blue stuff that surrounds the Island.
Make a Splash
Highly rated by our junior tree climber! Dive into fun at Tapnell Farm Aqua Park; it’s great for teens and older kids, and their mums and dads… Featuring inflatable obstacles, slides, and challenges, the aqua park is the only one of its kind on the Island. And while you could say we are surrounded by a massive aqua park, racing against friends or simply conquering the obstacles solo, sounds like a load of splashy fun for the whole family.
