Tonight we had the pleasure of attending the Challenge and Adventure Awards evening at A J Wells. It’s always an inspirational evening and this year we were really delighted to present the Special Branch Award to Matt Train. Matt has been coming to Special Branch for a while. He is always enthusiastic, happy to join

Proud to be a tree hugger! Catch Paul from Goodleaf on the BBC World Service talking about why he started climbing trees and why he’s proud to be called a tree hugger. He’s in some great company including Tony Kirkham from Kew, Colin Tudge (author of one of Paul’s favourite books The Secret Life of Trees and Nobel Prize winner Wangari Maathai.

We just can’t persuade Paul to get tough and climb trees in the winter – as many of you know, he’s the softest New Zealander on the planet! However we do have lovely Christmas gift vouchers available for either of our courses – ERTC (Essential Recreational Tree Climbing) and our two hour experience. You can buy

What is a Vertical Marathon? It’s Goodleaf’s way of inviting you to have even more fun in the trees and raise money for our local Isle of Wight community at the same time. Every climber is invited to take part in return for a small donation of 50p or more. We measure how many climbs

Thank you Goodleaf tree climbers! We’re really chuffed to let you know that our tree climbers raised a massive £683.15 for this years Isle of Wight Christmas Toy Appeal. Thank you to everyone who took part in the Vertical Marathon – your generous donations and excellent tree climbing skills meant we raised lots of cash

We’re joining our chums at the National Trust for a woodland adventure day on Saturday 28th September from 10 am to 4pm. There’ll be all sorts of different woodland activities on offer including all-terrain segway, green wood crafts, orienteering, geocaching and of course tree climbing (£5). You can see how many things you can tick off for 50

We’ve got two Special Branch activities coming up in September: 21/22 September – Overnighter in the Woods 10 am Saturday to 1 pm Sunday After a full day of woodland activities, sleep out overnight in the shelter you built. The campfire is going all night to keep you warm! In the morning cook your breakfast
